The Sharonettes were formed in 1980 by Sharon Aird - aka STUMPY!!!
Sharon danced herself for 12years before starting the Sharonettes.
Back in the day when money was tight they used to practice on the Rose and Thistle pub car park!!
We now practice in Lane End Club...much nicer than a slopped car park am sure you'll agree!!
We currently have just over 50girls and one little boy dancing for us!!
Sharon is our main trainer and generally makes the routines then we have Debbie who helps with our funky armworks and always knocks us into place when we're playing about!!
Both are dancing experts now and we love them both to bits!!!...Wouldn't change them for the world!!
They pretend to be the responsible adults but they're the biggest kids going, especially at camp and parties!!!

We welcome any new dancers of any age...we may seem like an odd crazy bunch (and you wouldn't be far wrong!!) but we're all friendly and welcome fellow nutters to join us!!!
